12 teams braved the wind and the rain in the annual Over 50’s tournament at Luton P.C.
The format was three leagues of 4 with the top two and the bottom two teams in each league going through to a seeded knockout in the afternoon.
The plate final was between Mike Turvey and Trevor Whittaker from the home club and Les Gardiner and Pete Taylor with the Luton lads running out 13-8 winners.
The main competition was a match up between Alan and Chrissie Brocket (who beat last years champions Paolo Infantino and Dan Eastwell in the semis) and Danny Sims and Derek Northend. In a short game with high scoring ends, Alan and Chrissie won 13-8.
Many thanks to the brave souls who put up with the awful weather.
