Luton Petanque Club was chosen to host a major event recently when the English Petanque Association held a coaching day for the English National Youth Squad at the clubs venue in St Thomas’s Road.
The English squad plus other youngsters from all over the country were put through their paces by French National Head Coach M. Francois Grange who has guided the French National Team to gold medals in European and World Championships. He was assisted by current French National Youth Team player Maxime Charrier.

The programme for the day was intensive and consisted of individual coaching in all aspects of the sport along with some fun training exercises which were enjoyed by all.
